The Wirral Family Forum was re-launched in January 2008 with a renewed commitment to ensuring the forum members would have a voice in the development of services for their children. The forum wanted to make sure that the issues raised would not only be listened to but acted upon.
Over the last 3 years the forum has successfully applied for and received funding that the Government has made available via Contact-a-Family to support parent participation.

The Local Authority has formally supported us and representatives from Social Care, Health and Education regularly attend our meetings.

About our Meetings

The Forums membership is open to any parent/carer who looks after a child/young person aged 0 to 25 years that have any type of disability or additional need. The meetings are held during 2011 once a month at Wallasey Town Hall 10.00am until 12.00pm. Full details of monthly dates are on the Calendar.

The meetings are open so you don’thave to book – just come along.

The Forum has 3 Co-chairs to ensure decision making representation at key meetings. The Terms of Reference were revised in July 2010.
